A 5-week Infant Massage Group that supports bonding, connection, and development. Caregivers learn gentle massage techniques to promote relaxation, ease discomfort, support milestones, and connect with other families.

Infant Feeding Group

Kindred Connections Society

This infant feeding group supports and connects parents of children under age 3 with breastfeeding/chestfeeding, bottle feeding, intro to solid foods, and more!

  • Adults (18+) who support caregivers of children aged 3 and under can learn about feeding, nutrition, and healthy child development.

More parents want to have a strong, loving connection with their children but find that many obstacles get in the way. Circle of Security makes the process of building a secure attachment practical and takes the shame out of not being perfect!

Little Ducklings Friendship Circle

Kindred Connections Society

A fun and engaging way to support children ages 3-5 in their social, emotional and cognitive development. Through songs, games and warm relationships, children learn to make friends and build important skills for school-readiness.

Pregnancy & Early Postpartum Drop-In Support

Kindred Connections Society

A weekly drop-in time for individuals and families who are pregnant or newly postpartum to connect with staff and other parents/caregivers. Support provided by Kindred includes referrals to basic needs and services, system navigation, and community resourcing. Drop-in support is provided by Kindred (Outreach), CUPS (RN), and Calgary Police Service (constable) weekly.

Safe Futures

for Families

An 8-week group program that teaches adults practical skills for building healthy relationships for both themselves and those around them.

Costs:

  • Sliding scale fee based on different personal factors like income and circumstance.

Serving:

  • Adults (18+) who are affected by or at risk of experiencing domestic or family violence, or looking to develop healthier relationships and coping strategies.

Connect with someone who truly understands through CMHA Calgary’s Peer Support service. Our trained Peer Support Workers use their lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges to offer compassionate, non-clinical support — helping you find hope, build resilience, and take the next steps in your recovery.

ADHD

A 2-week program offering practical tools, strategies, and support to improve focus, organization, and emotional regulation, while building confidence and connection in a safe, therapist-led group environment.

Costs:

  • $50 for both sessions (can pay $25 each week)

  • Adults (18+) looking to strengthen their skills in organization, time management, impulse control, and self-regulation.

Your Counselling

Your Counselling’s Grief & Healing Group offers clinician-led support, connection, and practical tools to process loss and create connection and meaning.

Costs:

  • $300 for 4 sessions (can pay $100 each week)

A 4-week group program teaching skills to understand triggers, manage emotions, and build healthier responses to anger.

WHAT TO EXPECT

How  does it work?

Choose and book a session.

  You provide brief information on this secure site. Then choose the counselling time that works for you.   

Receive Confirmation.

You will receive an email confirmation. At your appointment time, the counsellor will call you. 

Your Counselling Session.

One 45-90-minute counselling session may be enough to address your needs. Other support options can also be discussed during your session.

Fee Structure


Community Connect YYC is committed to ensuring community members get the help they need when they need it, with as few barriers as possible, including finances. Some services found on the site are offered at no cost, some on a sliding scale basis, and others with a model that allows you to choose your own session fee. Every partner organization ensures that finances will never get in the way of accessing the service you need. For more information on the specific fee model of the service you selected, please review the service description or speak to the service provider with whom you book.
