Mastering Anger

Your Counselling

The Mastering Anger Program is a structured 4-week course designed to help individuals better understand and manage their anger in healthy and constructive ways. Each week builds on practical tools and strategies, combining education, reflection, and skill development. Sessions run for 75 minutes and include guided activities, group discussions, and take-home exercises to reinforce learning between sessions.

This program is ideal for anyone who feels their anger is impacting their relationships, work, or daily life, or for those who have been asked by an employer, school, or probation officer to seek support. Participants learn to recognize triggers, practice emotional regulation skills, and develop healthier ways of responding to stress and conflict. The group is led by trained therapists in a safe, supportive environment where individuals can explore their experiences without judgment. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of attendance, which can be shared with workplaces, probation services, or other requesting agencies if needed.

The total cost is $100 for all 4 sessions, with the option to pay $25 per week over 4 weeks.

WHAT TO EXPECT

How  does it work?

 

Choose and book a session.

 

  You provide brief information on this secure site. Then choose the counselling time that works for you.   

Receive Confirmation.

You will receive an email confirmation. At your appointment time, the counsellor will call you. 

Your Counselling Session.

One 45-90-minute counselling session may be enough to address your needs. Other support options can also be discussed during your session.

Fee Structure


Community Connect YYC is committed to ensuring community members get the help they need when they need it, with as few barriers as possible, including finances. Some services found on the site are offered at no cost, some on a sliding scale basis, and others with a model that allows you to choose your own session fee. Every partner organization ensures that finances will never get in the way of accessing the service you need.
