Coping with Anxiety

An 8 week anxiety that provides a consistent and support environment where participants learn tool such as identifying and reframing, a guided gradual approach to patterns and situations and strengthening emotional regulation.
The focus would extend beyond learning concepts and to actively integrate skills into daily life. Through session practice, reflection, participant interaction; participants would can find confidence through strategies in real world settings , strengthening long term coping resilience and self efficacy.
Who Is This For?
Adults (18+) who are:
- Looking to learn tools such as identifying and reframing
- Wanting to find a guided, gradual approach to patterns and situations
- Wanting to strengthen emotional regulation
Note: Free childcare available upon request.
What To Expect?
Participants can expect:
- 8 weekly sessions, each 2 hours in length
Service available in-person at the following locations:
Village Commons (610 8 Ave SE, T2G 0M1)
Tuesdays, May 5 - June 23, 10AM - 12PM
Note: When booking through CCYYC, please be aware that this is an intake appointment to determine eligibility. During your intake appointment, a Carya staff member will assist in finding the next available group or recommend alternative services if a group is not currently available. This group program has a firm start date, and late entry is not permitted. If the group has already started, you will be placed on a waitlist for the next available service.

How does it work?
Choose and book a session.
You provide brief information on this secure site. Then choose the counselling time that works for you.
Receive Confirmation.
You will receive an email confirmation. At your appointment time, the counsellor will call you.
Your Counselling Session.
One 45-90-minute counselling session may be enough to address your needs. Other support options can also be discussed during your session.
Fee Structure

Some services found on the site are offered at no cost, some on a sliding scale basis, and others with a model that allows you to choose your own session fee. Every partner organization ensures that finances will never get in the way of accessing the service you need.
