Kindred provides a wide range of supports built around the purpose of realizing the power of human connection. Our programs focus on creating conditions needed for meaningful connection and aim to improve and stabilize mental health and strengthen family functioning.

We proudly serve individuals and families from all faiths and cultural backgrounds. We welcome anyone who would benefit from our supports—regardless of where they come from, who they choose to love, how much money they have, or where they go to pray.

Counselling

Individual & Group Sessions

Connect with a counsellor, often within a week, for a single session counselling appointment to help gain direction with an ongoing challenge or to support a current crisis.

Newborn Behavioral Observation (NBO)

Individual & Group Sessions

Feel more confident with your newborn through the NBO, a gentle approach that helps you understand your baby’s strengths and cues while building a strong, secure parent-child bond.

  • Parents looking to build strong, secure connections with their newborns (0-3 months).

Trans & Gender Diverse Counselling

Individual & Group Sessions

In partnership with Skipping Stone, these 75-minute single-session (‘one-at-a-time’) counselling services are available for Two-Spirit, transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals and their loved ones.

A support group for pregnant parents and parents with babies up to 12 months, focused on building practical skills to manage emotions, stress, and the challenges of early parenting.
