Newborn Cues & Connection
Kindred Connections Society
Are you starting to notice your baby's cues, but still figuring out what they mean? Are you feeling uncertain with every cry or squirm, or second-guessing the way you respond? Does connecting with your newborn feel different than you expected? These are common experiences and can feel discouraging and overwhelming. You are not failing — you've only just begun getting to know this new little person!
Your newborn is already communicating through their movements, sounds, expressions, and responses to the world around them. Newborn Cues & Connection is a relationship-building session that invites you to slow down, observe, and be curious about your baby. Through guided observation and shared reflection, you’ll begin to discover your baby’s strengths, preferences, needs, and unique ways of communicating and interacting with the world. You'll have an opportunity to build confidence in understanding and responding to your newborn, strengthen your connection, and support their healthy development.
Based on the Newborn Behavioral Observation (NBO) system, Newborn Cues & Connection is not an assessment or evaluation — it's a chance to learn about your baby and discover who they are, together.
