  • Adult African, Caribbean, and Black women (18+) who have arrived to Canada in the last five years and are seeking to couples counselling support.

Providing culturally sensitive support for couples to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and work through challenges in a safe and neutral environment.

Provides support for couples to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and work through challenges in a safe and neutral environment.

  • Adult African, Caribbean, and Black women (18+) who are seeking couples counselling support.

Counselling for Children and Their Adults

Counselling for children and their caregivers to strengthen bonds, support emotional expression, and manage behaviour through play and creative therapies.

Costs:

  • Low-cost, sliding scale structure (starting at $35 per session)

Serving:

  • Children (ages 4-12) and their adults/caregivers. Sessions can be booked for children, parents, or both.

Kindred Parenting Programs

Kindred

Kindred's Parenting Programs strengthen the capacity of caregivers to nurture safe, stable, and connected relationships with their children through coaching, education, wraparound supports, and more.

Costs:

  • Free of cost

Serving:

  • Pregnant and expecting individuals.
  • Parents, caregivers, families of children in early childhood.

WHAT TO EXPECT

How  does it work?

Choose and book a session.

  You provide brief information on this secure site. Then choose the counselling time that works for you.   

Receive Confirmation.

You will receive an email confirmation. At your appointment time, the counsellor will call you. 

Your Counselling Session.

One 45-90-minute counselling session may be enough to address your needs. Other support options can also be discussed during your session.

Fee Structure


Community Connect YYC is committed to ensuring community members get the help they need when they need it, with as few barriers as possible, including finances. Some services found on the site are offered at no cost, some on a sliding scale basis, and others with a model that allows you to choose your own session fee. Every partner organization ensures that finances will never get in the way of accessing the service you need.
