Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA) is a non-profit organization established in 1982 as a registered charity. CIWA is a culturally diverse settlement agency that recognizes, responds to, and focuses on the unique concerns and needs of immigrant and refugee women, girls, and their families.

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
Aims to strengthen social connections and increase support of immigrant youth by building individual capacity, increasing social ties, and improving emotional well-being/social competence.
Languages Available: English, Farsi, French, Punjabi, Dari, Pasto, Tagalog, Dutch and Mandarin. Interpretation in other languages is available on request.
INDIVIDUAL, COUPLE, FAMILY SESSIONS
Provides professional, culturally-sensitive counselling for immigrant women, men and families who are experiencing family, domestic, gender-based and/or intimate partner violence, relationship problems, abuse and trauma.
Languages Available: Amharic, Arabic, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Pasto and Tigrinya. Interpretation in other languages is available on request.
INDIVIDUAL & GROUP SESSIONS
Provides immigrant women (seniors) with the opportunity to become involved in the community and develop a sense of belonging.
Languages Available: English, Farsi, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, Dari, Pasto, German and Tagalog. Interpretation in other languages is available on request.
INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
Supports immigrants and newcomers to identify and seek help for addiction and mental health issues impacting their lives and build their resilience.
Languages Available: English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. Interpretation in other languages is available on request.
