A Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed group for pregnant parents and parents with babies up to 12 months old. This group offers practical skills to help manage emotions, cope with stress, and navigate the challenges and transitions of pregnancy and early parenting.
Participants will learn DBT-based tools such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills, adapted specifically for pregnancy and the first year of parenting. The group provides a supportive, non-judgmental space to connect with others while strengthening confidence and emotional wellbeing.
No prior DBT experience is required. Babies are welcome to attend with their caregiver. Group is facilitated by trained mental health professionals.

Who Is This For?
For pregnant parents and parents with babies up to 12 months old, including:
- Those who are pregnant
- Those who recently gave birth
- Partners of the above.
This service required a 6 session commitment (over 12 weeks). Childcare available upon request.

What To Expect?
Classes are offered in a hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual sessions.
Topics may include:
- Understanding and regulating intense emotions
- Coping with stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
- Mindfulness in pregnancy and early parenting
- Building self-compassion and reducing guilt or shame
- Navigating relationship changes and communication
- Balancing your own needs with the needs of your baby
Note - DBT Skills Training is not group therapy, but more like a classroom approach. Classes are held in a group setting to allow for peer learning and skills practice.

You provide brief information on this secure site. Then choose the counselling time that works for you.
Receive Confirmation.
You will receive an email confirmation. At your appointment time, the counsellor will call you.
Your Counselling Session.
One 45-90-minute counselling session may be enough to address your needs. Other support options can also be discussed during your session.
Fee Structure
